New clocking in mobile app features

Our clocking app, called the Self Service Module, enables employees to clock in and out remotely via their mobile phones, and records the times on a centralised system to be displayed to supervisors if desired.

As part of our efforts to help companies with their remote workforce management, particularly those who are unfamiliar to the concept, we have developed many new features for the SSM.

Note: These new features apply to version 3.803.26 of the SSM combined with the 4.2.0.x version of Tensor.NET. If you are an existing customer and would like these upgrades, or are uncertain which version you own, please get in touch or email your account manager directly.

The main new features and improvements are:

Summary Page

Firstly, the summary section now shows the user’s current fire roll call site status, their fire point when booked ON to a job or clocked in, and their last time of booking.

Secondly, a quick links section has been added, providing shortcuts to the clocking, absence requests and fire roll call booking pages.

Fire Roll Call (FRC) Booking

The new Fire Roll Call option can be used by employees to change their site status as they move in or out of company premises. Those changes to their site status are immediately transmitted to Tensor’s clocks and access controllers.

Supervisor Calendar

Supervisors, managers and other users who are registered as responsible for employees can now add absence bookings for their subordinates using the supervisor’s calendar. This enables them to automatically approve the request.

Delegation

Users with supervisory responsibilities can delegate their authorisation rights to a chosen user to cover a temporary absence. This stops holiday approvals and other requested changes from backing up during one person’s absence.

Door Status

If your .NET system has an access control serial number as well as time and attendance (WinAC as well as WinTA), users with correct permissions can see the status of all the access-controlled doors on-site, and use the app to lock and unlock individual doors.

Approving New Accounts

The mobile app is now up to date with the web browser version: the user approval page includes etra options such the self-approver and the option for USB logging-in.
