Thirty-four staff walked out of a Royal Mail (RM) office on Monday over wrong or unpaid wage payments. Around 18,000 temporary staff — employed via Angard Staffing Solutions — have been recruited by RM across the country for Christmas, its busiest time of year. One of the workers affected, Royston Allcock, said: "It's going to be a quiet Christmas, because I was relying on the money." A RM spokesman said: "We apologise for this as our temporary Christmas staff are very important to us."
